About Us

In the beginning.

Dr. Patricia Frisch and Dr. Richard Blasband began to work as partners in the mid-90's, when they set about utilizing their decades of experience in Orgonomic Therapy and passion for teaching into delivering professional/public workshops and trainings based on the work of Wilhelm Reich. They announced their first workshop in 1998. That workshop, along with subsequent professional trainings, proved to be extremely successful in providing participants a rarely seen view of themselves and their potential. Drs. Frisch and Blasband were inspired to develop their programs further and in 2002, their efforts organically unfolded and matured into The Orgonomic Institute of Northern California.

The Institute's mission is to meet the needs of students who wish to be trained in the techniques of orgonomic bio-therapy and to provide information to the public about the orgonomic therapeutic process. They achieve their mission through professionally designed and delivered trainings at Esalen® Institute and various other locations in California.

In 2008, Dr. Frisch took over as Executive Director of the Institute and Dr. Blasband remained as Adjunct Faculty.
